Winter Weather

Eep it's been bloody freezing today!! What's going on here?? Went for a bit of shopping today in my study break and underestimated the weather and next thing I knew, I was running through the rain in sandals! So.. got home, jumped into a hoodie, green tea and some lunch. And we all know what this weather means.. 1) Food.. damn you. 2) Sleepiness 3) HAYFEVER!!!! grrr.

Golden Heights

On Saturday I did a small shoot for Clare Robertson for her photography project for varsity. The heading was high fashion and this is just a preview of whats coming up. We woke super early (after a rough night. grr) and got straight into it, with Cleo Marco (my sister) doing the make up and styling. We shot in the most perfect area.. We shot two outfits - this being the first one. Was so fun!

Which brings me to the rest of this post. Here are my new babies from Greece. Gold and Tan Platform Heels from Fullah Sugah by Skondras. I LOVE THEM!

9 days till S U M M E R

9 days till our one month trip to GREECE for absolutely gorgeous summer! Can't wait. One more exam on wednesday and then 6 days of relaxing and partying and then we travel. Our plans are to arrive in Athens and stay there 4 days, then we fly to kos and pick up a yacht and for the next 10 days we are going to be sailing to different islands, we then go back to Kos and then hit Rhodes for some hectic night life! After that I have no idea... we will be island hopping and just see were we feel like hitting from there. These pictures remind me of bright things in Summer.. inspiration.

Trivel Photography: Torné Volk

Torné Volk is an aspiring 17 year old photographer. She describes herself as very out the box and crazy and likes constant changes in her life. She says what she thinks and does what she wants to. Her advice to new photographers and people in general is - "dont let critism and jealous people make you feel terrible about your passion.."

On Saturaday, 4th June, she organised a small group of girls and a guy to model for her. We went to a prop house in Muizenberg, which made a really cool scene and shot the pics there.

When and why did you start photography?
-I started a year ago and have the biggest passion for taking photos!


What are your goals for the future?
-To start a rerally succesful photography business on my own.

-There are many photographers and blogs that inspire me, especially Chris Heads.

If you could work with anyone in the world who would it be?
-Chris Heads!

Descrie your style in 3 words
- Different. Filled with fun. Character.

Whats your favourite scene for a shoot?
-I like shooting in the outdoors, rather than the indoors.

Im bored..... yes i know i should be studying but due to my sickness and high dose of pain killers.. well its not very productive. Haven't left the house since wednesday (besides quick trip down the road to doctor) What is becoming of me??!! haha

So yeah.. already painted my nails (manicure pink), taken a hot bath, made some more tea, watched skins, watched 90210.. what else can i do? haha

Oooh and I lost 2kgs since wednesday due to the lack of swallowing power i have at the mo :/

Birthday Girl: Princess Aurora ;)

Friday it was my birthday.. and wow. It was so fucking amazing! I don't really like birthdays much cause of all the expectations and all - don't ask. So I didn't expect anything but I was very much mistaken. Although I had to wake up at 6.30sm in the morning (hell no) I was presented with the most stunning MICHAEL KORS watch!!!!! Beautiful ostriche leather (light brown) strap, chunky gold face outlined in diamanté. I'm officially in love. I had my 6 year old brother singing happy birthday to me in english, greek, xhosa and attempting afrikaans! Vanilla cake, with cream cheese icing and covered in toasted almonds and a cup of coffee. School was surprisingly bareable and then ACT class after school was fab. A group of the most insane people came over at about 7.30pm and onwards and we jolled the predrinks... great drinks and of course the awsome shot glass from Argentina Phil got me that is the equivalent of about 4 single South African shots! haha. We then ended up at Assembly and.... it was crazy! I loved my birthday. Got some sexy presents and spent it with some sexy people - so here's a few sexy pics (national cleavage day) Will post pics of my insanely gorgeous watch.. x x
