Influence by Marykate & Ashley Olsen

My dad bought this book for my sister and I when he went to Chicago. It's a book by Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen. It's all the influences in their lives and there some really great pictures. I just took a few photos of the cover, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano and a few spreads. I really like these designers and the selection of pictures they used, I really like their style too.

Marykate and Ashley have a very vintage and bold look.. they stand out a lot for me with their style and fashion. It's a great coffee table book to have, also to keep on your desk or bed side table. Another few of those coffee table books are the Marylin Monroe one (also have it), Audrey Hepburn (whenever I need to feel inspired, I take it out from the library and read it), Lickshot is another book I'd love to get - so creative, and there are tons more.

I really love books and there is no better way to combine it with fashion and influence from some of the most amazing and talented people all over the world. I even consider the Vogue, British Elle and Harper's Bazar as books as they are very thick and have some great articles for those of you who don't really like to buckle down and read the old fashioned type.

My Parents Back in the Day..

Aren't my parents stunning? Well that was a while back but still.. they are still super mom and dad :) I really like the style of clothing back then and they were both pretty fashionable so that helps.

This Top

I bought this top last year in Greece, in a small place called Tolo. Me and my sister went to this small shop and found this top and another 'cheeky' top. haha. So we bought them. I customized mine slightly and cut the sides. I have always wanted a top with low seem on the sides, quite open, just like Effy on skins :) She always has these cool ones and wears a black lacey bra underneath, her top is usually black though. Anyways, I just really like this top. (My gran didn't aprove however. ha.)

Delaire Wine Farm

In the January holidays my family and I went to Gordons Bay for a few nights and on the way back we stopped in Stellenbosch. We went to this wine farm for lunch, we ate so much nice food, wow :) We went wine tasting too and looked at the art and sculptures. It was pretty stunning.

So I fell Inlove with a Jacket

I also bought this jacket in Long Street at a vintage second hand store but not the same one, this one has more items and beautiful things. It's called Second Time Around. This one is slightly more versatile and I have to guard it with my life because my best friend, Phil, is always trying to get hold of it! It's actually at her house right now.. grrr. haha.
