Must Haves

So... been studying for my history exam tomorrow loads and think my brain needs a rest before it shrivels up! But fear not, cause I'm going away on a girls holiday trip with my mom and sister to Thailand in one day less than 2 weeks and really excited! Could really do with some retail therapy, hot tropical weather, amazing food and a bit of a getaway :) Anyways, here's a few 'must haves' of mine at the moment:

1. Exotic Swimwear
Absolutely love the style of this first one - Cleapatra. Gold and black Goddess!

Classic shape and amazing colour - love brights!

And of course lets not forget a beautiful one piece or monokini!

2. Yes, more blazers!
Two-tone, nudes, brights, sequined, slouchy - love them. And absolutely love chunky, short necklaces at the moment!

3. Chunky and striking shoes - as always.
Been crushing on these Jeffrey Campbell Litas for ages! So I think I've waited long enough..!

Chunky, bright and bold.. love those qualities in a shoe!

4 and 5. Chanel Bag and Uneven chiffon skirt
- Perfect!

6. Chunky Rings
Specifically this YSL one!

 7. The perfect nude
I have yet to find the perfect nude, that does not make me look like I've got some funky disease!

Back to the studying...!

Noir

So just chilling at my desk at the moment, eating popcorn and drinking an amazing smoothie I made myself. Very impressed with my efforts I must admit :) Still have to find an Afrikaans reading piece for school - where on earth does one find that when you do not own an afrikaans magazine and the internet is being pathetically useless?? Then there is my lines for our english 'so called' prepared reading.. did I mention we have to act it out and know our words off by heart - so tell me where the part 'reading' comes into this task. So yeah, have to get that done :/ But.. here are some gorgeous pictures of some masterpieces.

And these Jeffrey Campbell lita inspired platforms below are my next have-to-bye. No seriously I am going to get them soon... SOOOOO EXCITED :)

Taste of Summer

SUMMER HAS SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST.

As temperatures peak, fashion has a burst of optimism. We love the playfulness of tie-dyed Tees, striped bikinis, cropped vests and the return of the joyful jumpsuit. We love the femininity of floral prints on circle skirts and crisp graphics on shirt dresses. It's a season for fashion lovers, with an airy newness, a range of choices, and a wardrobe of wearable easy pieces for no-rules summer dressing.

Rings with Beautiful Stones.

Grapefruit Mojito.

Ingredients:
1 ½ ounces gold rum (I recommend 15 year old Ron Zacapa Centenario)
1 ounce freshly squeezed pink or red grapefruit juice
4 fresh mint leaves
1 splash simple syrup (see note)
Crushed ice
Club soda
Instructions:
Place mint leaves in the bottom of a highball glass. Add rum, grapefruit juice and simple syrup. Muddle together to release and combine the flavors. Fill glass with crushed ice and stir well. Top with club soda and enjoy!

Note: Simple syrups for bar use are normally made from white sugar, but for rum and tequila drinks, I suggest using demerara or turbinado sugar, most commonly available as “Sugar In The Raw.” Combine equal parts water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a low boil. Stir together until all sugar solids have dissolved. Remove from heat and keep tightly covered and refrigerated for up to one week.

PS. Happy New Years and hope everyone had an amazing Christmas..!! Been away so lacking on the posting but will get some more in hopefully soon. In Plett at the mo with my wife, Courts, so having such a great time.
Ciao. Mowgli x

Jersey Girl

Today was the second day of my holiday and so far it's been great. Casablanca was so fun last night, met some crazy people. I bought this knit jersey type cardigan the other day and wore it for the first time today.. been looking for something like that for ages and absolutely am inlove. haha. I also bought a plain gold band bangle from a man in Hout Bay that hand makes and sells them, really a classic buy. And being a pro bargainer I bought it for.. R20! Better believe it. So tomorrow I'm thinking, run in the moring, casting in town early afternoon after I get my report (oh gosh), then waterfront with a friend, maybe some lunch and then at night maybe assembly and then Zula Bar to see the Plastics play. Don't forget it's Puza Thursday today, so enjoy it, with no regrets hopefully. Mowgli out. x
