J&B Met 2012

On Saturday 28/01/2012 it was the J and B Met. It is an annual horse racing event were people dress up, bet on horses and have a good time. Bought this gorgeous dress on Saturday by chance so decided to wear it.. A tan coloured crochet dress - some may call it slightly riské but for me it's a classic! Anyways, we bet on some horses, won some, lost some but was really fun! Then went to the Jet lounge at around 6 for a few drinks.

Chapman's Peak Protest

This morning I joined in a protest in Hout Bay to stand up against the construction of a toll plaza and office block on the beautiful Chapmans Peak. Can you imagine that?? I am all for progress within the world of industrialization, but there's a line. I have lived in Hout Bay all my life and was so proud to see the masses of people uniting and joining together, singing, shouting, whistling, dancing, and you name it!

DEADMAU5 CPT

Deadmau5 in Cape Town - Last week thursday! Was crazy!! Me and Dan made tops (down below) hehe. Ironed on the print - quite a process, after an electric shock from the iron and 5 prints later, we did it! haha

Dan's Amazing 21st

Last Saturday was my boyfriends 21st Birthday! Was amaaaaazing I must say. Went to his house during the day and we just spent some time together, had some lunch and oooh gave him his present. I have always been an awkward present giver and was kinda nervous to give it to him but he loved it! Was so happy :)

A while ago he said he wanted an orangey v-neck top and I was a bit hesitant, but then it came out that it's cause this guy on Geordie Shore has it (UK version of Jersey Shore) hehe. So pretended I was interested and watched a few mins of it and its this really nice dark orange/coral colour. So I looked high and low and found one!! yay. Then I got him this chunky silver ring and got -ζήσε τα όνειρά σου- engraved on the inside with a little heart next to it. It means 'live your dreams'. He's VERY ambitious and determined and thought it would be nice, something he can keep forever. (better not loose it ha) So yes, he adored it!

We all then got ready and went to The Grand in Granger Bay. A beautiful restaurant that they have recreated a beach in the front and it was absolutely beautiful and the best weather ever! We had champagne, drinks and starters outside there with 30 of his closest friends and family and then went on inside for dinner and some incredible speeches!

After that we all head on down to Camps Bay for the private launch of the old Karma - it's called Nisha. They have made it so gorgeous - classy and chíc. And that was the perfect end to the night. All in all it was an amazing day and so happy he had such a perfect time! Here's some pics below at The Grand and Nisha.

Meet Miss Baker

Meet Aisha Baker.
Bussiness student and Fashion Blogger - and in my opinion Queen of the Turban. I stumbled apon Aisha's LOOKBOOK page a while back which lead me to her blog and I absolutely love her style. She always looks gorgeous and has a very unique flair to her style. I asked her a few questions the other day about fashion and life and here's what she had to say. How would you describe your style?
I don't think I can? I just dress the way I feel and love manifesting my mood into my look for the day

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
My shoe collection

How do you manage juggling varsity, blogging, your social life and just keeping it together in general?
I don't really know! Ha ha. I think varsity is a necessity - I know I am required to complete my degree and socialising/blogging is more of a passion - I guess one makes time for ones passions.

What are your goals and dreams for the future?
I would love to work in media and publication and get married at some point. My dream is just to be as happy as I can be taking into account lifes trials and tribulations.

What’s your favourite clothing/shoe/accessories shop?
My favourite clothing store is probably Topshop.
Shoes would probably be Zoom Footwear in South Africa
Accessories - definitely Accessorize!

Who’s your favourite designer and why?
At the moment my favourite designer is Zuhair Murad, and probably will be for a very long time! I love his ability to adorn a garment with everything he can think of while making it look effortless at the same time.

Wake Me Up in Summer

Still obsessing over S U M M E R and the perfect maxi dress!

Every morning I wake up and it's slightly lighter and this happy feeling takes over my body! Eep. Just love Summer. Waking up to sunlight pouring over my bed, the perfect veiw from my bedroom window, exposed skin, happy and beautiful people surrounding you. Everyone seems more enthused and adventurous and everyones eyes twinkle with a certain love of Summer (Even those rain loving, cold day hugging people that won't admit it - I'm onto you;) ) hehe.

Anwyays, holidays are around the corner and that means some time to soak up the free time, go away with my boy and friends and I need to do some Summer wardrobe shopping and some Summer cleaning for my current wardrobe. Here's a few gorgeous pictures of Olivia from FashionSalade - love it.

Coral Maxi Dress

Ironically it's raining outside.. but I love this colour. It's rich, happy and reminds me of summer. Wishful thinking - summer get here now! Been looking for a gorgeous maxi dress for ages and haven't had any luck. Grrr.

Chanel Nights

So.. I have been sick at home today and most of yesterday felt horrible! Had the worst migraine ever and the doc said i have a virus, plus a mixture of stress and tension. blah :/ Oh well, shit happens. Anyways, unforunately i missed out on the most perfect day ever, lying around in bed all day. SO before I move onto my summer inspired posts, looks and pics, here's a midnight themed post. A bit of grunge, mostly black - Chanel Nights.


This week has been pretty busy and i must say my blogging has been pretty minimal for the past few months (thumbs down).
